Blocking jump sounds(recent update for cs 1.6)
In regard of the recent update to cs 1.6(which causes jump sounds to be played even if standing still/crouching/not moving), I was thinking that it can't be that hard to block these sounds.
Unfortunately I'm not very experienced in what does what in amx, so I think I should perhaps cry for help. :oops: Until now I've tried blocking the FM_EmitSound, FM_EmitAmbientSound calls, which blocked some sounds, but not the step/jump sounds, I've also tried blocking FM_PlayerPreThink when the jump button is pressed, but that did nothing at all, last I tried setting pev_flTimeStepSound to 999 every frame in a FM_PlayerPreThink hook, but this only blocked step sounds, and not the jump sounds. I've sorta run out of ideas, and google/forum search feature has stopped shining on me. :( Anyone have any ideas of how this new sound could be blocked(I'd still have to compare the velocity of the player to some constant, and only block it if it's below that. But that's another story, for now I just need to find some method of blocking the sound). Thanks in advance :| Edit: Nvm. They patched it. :shock: |
