Small Health Fix

Health Fix
0.7

This little plugin fixes the bug when your health goes mad, if it goes over 255.
Probably most of you will find this useless. Anyway, if it's over 255, it will stay at 255 until it's below 255.

Changes?

I'm a terrible searcher.

Re: Small Health Fix

Actually mine prevents the health from being 0, not limits it to 255.
What purpose would this plugin serve?

When a player's health goes above 255, the HUD health loops through 0-255 as it gets higher.
However, the actual health is still saved.

Therefore, if the HUD health is the bug, then why not use my plugin that shows the player's actual health?

Re: Small Health Fix

Because, in some mods your health is above 255. For example in zombie mod, you're a zombie, and someone is shooting at you. You automaticly look at the real health(instinct from default cs/hl or other mods), and you get confused because your health is 7.. and then it goes back to 240 and so on. You cant really know how much health you have left. Some people look at your real health, not by the one next to it and can get confused. With time you'll get used to the health next to it anyway. Another example - If you set someones health to 300, he thinks his health has been set to 45, and he's flaming on admin for reducing his health.

I guess... makes hl engine games a little less confusing?

I think this does not limit the health, it will only make the hud show 255 as long as the health is over 255 - it will just not loop all the time, am I right?

Useful thing and a damn small plugin :D

Well if they use my health displaying plugin, their health won't be limited and they can still know their actual health.
If you want it to always be displayed, just set the display time to 999.

Wrong. The health on the HUD is the player's real health.
If you capture the event and look at the number, it will display the real health.
However, when it is finally inserted into the HUD, it is clamped to a 0-255 loop.

I know about your plugin and what it does, exolent. I just hate when i look at hp it displays 7hp if you have 262. Why did you make the Zero HP bug fix then? Everyone can use your plugin where your health is displayed. I would feel more confortable looking at my real health(not hudmsg) and seeing that i'm still alive and ok.

Intro:
  • Have you ever had messed up movements and zero (0) health on your HUD?
  • This happens from having more than 255 health, and then falling, which causes you to lose health, which sometimes results in having zero (0) health.

In other words, when your HUD health is 0, your movements are locked to one direction, so turning won't work to change directions.
The fix for this adds 1 health to the player, so that the health on the HUD isn't 0, which fixes the movements.
