[REQ](TF2) Accuracy plugin

is it possible for someone to make a plugin or extension that can log hit data for tf2 so it can be used for accuracy maps like those in psychostats: http://www.psychostats.com/doc/Accuracy

it simply provides a 3D image of a humanoid figure and shows the percentage of hits with each weapon to each body part. For an example you can check out this page: http://xsinthis.profusehost.net/skul...layer.php?id=1

notice how the hitbox area is blank, i'd need something (and i'm sure many other server owners would love this too) something that would add hitbox stats to the logs.

Thanks in advance,
Xsinthis

This is a yes and no. I am working on something like this at the moment for a client, where they want different bullet damage to different parts of the body in TF2. As far as TF2 goes, theres only two hitboxes, head/torso, and the sniper rifle is the only weapon that can make use of the head hitbox.

I am looking into using the mins and maxs of the player models though to find a more accurate idea of where the projectile impacts the player. If I figure anything out I will let you know.

that sniper thing isn't completly true, on my stats both scouts and spies have logged headshots, and some people have noticed it ingame. I think it might be something to do with the new update.

check the HS thing on my stats here: http://xsinthis.profusehost.net/skul...tats/roles.php

notice how the spy and scout has headshot kills

Interesting. I will write a test script and try it out later tonight and see if you can actually recognize headshot kills from multiple classes.

Psychostats doesn't log everything as it should. Looking at that page, someone got a backstab as a pyro.

backburner maybe? it took a hit to a crit from the back and thought backstab, its not to up-to-date with tf2 stuff, so the backburner isn't recongized, it just says backburner isntead of an image

besides, psychostats is reading the logs, no creating them. totally game server independant(not real time)

That's not entirely accurate if they are running the psychostats heatmaps sm plugin. In that case, it is indeed blocking and rewriting kill log lines.

itas accurate in tf2, tf2 servers don't need a separate plugin. though for one day i did have it running cause i thought i needed it... though doubt thats where it's from

touché

I had forgotten tf2 already had the coordinates on the kill lines. That rules that out.

Re: [REQ](TF2) Accuracy plugin

indeed

so it seems there is at least a few different hitboxes. I'm almost positive that the game has hitboxes in each of the appendages, it just doesn't bother logging them as different. Maybe you need an extension to do this? >.>
