HLDS error > EDICT_NUM: BAD NUMBER 9999
After finally installing and putting up all the amxxmods and other stuff like that the HLDS (HL server, not CS but suppose doesn't matter)now gives me the following error: "Fatal error - Dedicated Server EDICT_NUM: BAD NUMBER 9999" and it crashes...this happens at random. Some time after 3 maps, sometimes after 5 etc. What could cause something like this??? I have checked google and someone said that "EDICT_NUM: bad number %i is caused by INDEXENT". Do you have any idea what this indexent is? |
Re: HLDS error > EDICT_NUM: BAD NUMBER 9999
I guess you should go through the normal process:
Disable all Metamod plugins, and then put them on one by one, seeing which one of those crashes your server. If it's Amxx, disable all 3rd party plugins, and then put them on one by one, seeing which one of those crashes it. This is my advice, but I hope someone else has more idea on what causes this. |
Re: HLDS error > EDICT_NUM: BAD NUMBER 9999
Thanks for the answer. Aparrently it isn't amxx's fault. On a further study I could see that the error wasn't actually random. The error came up 3 times on different maps so I thought it was random but looks like it only comes with those exact 3 maps. I removed the maps and everything appears to be fine now no more error, though I hope it's not just a lucky period. |
