Equivelent of engine.inc in AMX Mod?

Iffy question I know, but I have had a lot of people who want to use one of my AMX Mod X plugins with AMX but can't get it to compile. I've tried compiling it myself with AMX Mod 0.9.9 but the compiler falls over at the engine include.

Does AMX Mod have an equivelent to this?

vexd and a few others.

Why don't they just switch over to amxmodx?

But why try and make your plugin for AMX MOD and give you more support hell and problems by trying to keep up with 2 diff mod coding requirements.

The AMX Mod equivalent to engine is Vexd_Utilities. From what I can tell the next version looks very similar to Engine anyway.

Unless your code uses some more advanced things - like register_message or some certain forwards, porting it should be trivial.

But I agree, supporting two packages is a nightmare.

Yeah I had a load of problems trying to port it to 0.99 earlier today. It worked about 95% but pfn_touch wouldnt work when converted to vexd_pfntouch and the console kept reporting errors with useless error codes (how are you supposed to decode Error in Module (?????) with plugin (????) )

After using 0.20's debugging system it's really annoying to have to debug those errors again ^^
