Voice Icon
Is it possible to remove the voice icon above the player when he/she is speaking?

Re: Voice Icon
I thought it was the same message as radio icon but it seems to be another one.

Re: Voice Icon
he meant that it was a different message, so u cant block the voice icon by blocking the radio icons.

it didnt show any indication of how to block it.
just showed that Wilson was wanting the same effect. |
Re: Voice Icon
One of the posts by an extremely experienced coder mentioned it could not be done by normal means and it required editing client files.

Re: Voice Icon
im thinking there is an event fired that needs to be blocked, but blocking that event also will block the stuff on the right side that shows whos speaking

Re: Voice Icon
Its not possible to block the Icon, because its only client side.

Re: Voice Icon
Believe it or not, I have gotten it to work. I have tried many many many nights to get it to work. But I never stuck with it long enough to make a plugin out of it.
Essentially, you mute someone through the player list menu. Then, you do not see their icon because they are not speaking. But if you use my AMX Voice Proximity plugin after that, you will be able to hear them without their icon showing up. So it's a bit strenuous on the server, but it works. The main thing is...we need to figure out how to mute everyone for everyone through that message VoiceMask. But I could never actually figure that out. It deals with bitmasks but it's not as simple as you'd think. So if you can figure out how to mute everyone for everyone via the VoiceMask message, I'll make it into a plugin for you. But other than this way, no it is not possible. You can't block any messages you can't display a sprite to block it. You can't do a damn thing; I've tried every other way. |
