Re: HLDS standolone dedicated server(i guess)

Thoes files are created when HLDS encounters an error, or crashes.
I'm not sure if there's a way to stop it, but here's a quick plugin that deletes the files at start-up.
Code:
#include <amxmodx> #define PLUGIN "MDMP Deleter" #define VERSION "1.0" #define AUTHOR "Drak" public plugin_init() {     register_plugin(PLUGIN, VERSION, AUTHOR);         new FirstFile[256]     new Pos,Temp,temp[26],right[65],count         while(read_dir("../",Pos++,FirstFile,255,Temp))     {         strtok(FirstFile,temp,25,right,64,'.');         if(equal(right,"mdmp"))         {             count++;             delete_file(FirstFile)         }     }         return PLUGIN_HANDLED }
Not tested, so I'm not sure. But, if the files are located in "C:\HLServer" it should work.

Well.. There's a few work-arounds you can do. And they are.:
You can delete them manually. (I'm still not sure how to stop them from being created)
You can use a batch file to start your server. For example:
Code:
@ECHO OFF CLS FOR %%F IN (*.MDMP) DO DEL %%F
Placing this into a text file and name it anything (File.bat) but the extension needs to be .bat. Running it in the same folder as the .mdmp files, the file with delete the .mdmp's. You can also add to start your server in the file to, like so:
Code:
@ECHO OFF CLS FOR %%F IN (*.MDMP) DO DEL %%F hlds -console +game "cstrike" +map de_dust2 +port 27015 +maxplayers 16

Re: HLDS standolone dedicated server(i guess)

i dont know why my servers do such a thing even though its on all default and two extra custom plugins

i just lock the folder from "system" so they can't write anything into it
