Advanced Weapon Tracers

This plugin shows bullet traces.



.: Features :.


- Ability to enable/disable tracers for weapon categories :
  • HandGuns
  • Shotguns
  • Smgs
  • Riffles
  • Snipers

- Ability to hide tracers when weapons are silenced

- Multi traces on shotguns and on 'bursted' weapons

- Players can disabled tracers with toggle say command : /tracers
! Note that plugin have to be compiled with PER_PLAYER_SETTINGS defined

    Enable / Disable the plugin

    Enable / Disable tracers on hand guns

    Enable / Disable tracers on smgs

connorr please can make to look exactly like in matrix mod?whit white color and slowly?and traces to make damage ?[maybe moore thant 1 color {green,red,blue}]

Nice, i like those cvars for sure :up:

But the tracers, are they solid colors or dotted bullet like tracers?
(I have been looking for a dotted like tracer forever lol that actually works)

This is a good idea.
As it would required to loop tracers messages through all client, i wonder if it would decrease performances.

I suggest not looping all clients, just toggle the clients personal tracers on and off.

Connorr would have to send a message to every client in order to choose who to send and who not to send it to.

would have loop "MSG_ONE..." thru all the clients in order to chose who to send and who not to send it to, is what connorr means. You couldn't just toggle on and off for an individual without doing so.

Ok i get it, i think that's a bad idea, since tracers make players more 'viewable' (aka you know faster from where they shot, oO my english),

I could understand wanting to be able to toggle seeing tracers, but I don't get why you'd want the client to be able to toggle creating their own tracers, kinda makes the plugin useless in a way.

With client commands I mean that the individual player can turn off the tracers in such a way that he/she can't SEE them anymore. That person'll still be firing with tracers though.

i see my own tracers fire where i am aiming, not where the bullet is shot

it seems like the plugin is fireing tracers when player is aiming not where the bullet is shot

anybody has this problem ?

Others plugin use the CurWeapon event that is not always accurate, some of the other plugins even make a trace when players change their weapon, not shooting.
One of the other plugins makes beams, i didn't want to put this in mine cause i don't like this and it doesn't look natural.

Also i was planing to add this feature, i was just waiting it would first be approuved (i'll add it wherever the plugin will be).

Please reconsider all of this.

connorr, famas needs to be Tracer_Normal only. Each bullet is counted in burst mode for famas unlike glock, so you get a trace on each bullet... Skip checking FAMAS for burst.

i think this plugin lags
-i played against podbot with tracers on,results lag spikes,
-then disabled tracers,no lag spikes,
-or maybe it's just me
