Attaching the view point and locking movement.
Couple of questions although the two aren't related per-se.
1) I read you can attach the first person viewpoint of the player to an attachment point in a model but I haven't been able to work out how this is done. Could anyone provide an example? 2) Is it possible, and how would I go about doing it, so that the vertical movement of the players viewpoint is locked yet I can still read off the vertical angle their using for aiming. Think of how a canon would work - I want to use a similar system wher the play can pan left-right as usual but when they move the mouse up and down their view stays looking ahead but I am still able to read off the vertical angle. |
1. i was unable to do this too, i don't even think hullu's eye plugin does this(try looking at it)
2. pev_view_ofs is the height that the player is, its normally set to 28 |
Don't think setting the view as first person is available with amx right now. I recommend looking at the HL SDK to figure out how to do this.
