Help Please! Don't Whanna Break THe Rules!

Is It Okay To use "borrow" Someones code.
If the one that "owns" the code say it okay and you give credit to them?

How much code are you talking about...? If it's a lot, it's common courtesy to ask the author before doing so, but as long as you provide proper credit it's fine. Also, if you borrow a lot of code, and you submit a plugin for approval, there is a higher chance of unapproval.

Yea...
Well Its Code From diffrent authors to diffrent stuff

ex. (this is not in my plugin)
Somebody type /buy and a menu come where you can buy
B-Bomb Which change the bomb to a cluster grenade and make it super HE.

That 2 are needed code from 2 diffrent authors pcboy and k007

but i'm not going to approv it
so its okay?

So long as you get approval from both people who wrote the code and you cite them in your plugin saying that you borrowed code you should be ok. However, as vvg125 said, you do run the risk of not getting your plugin approved because of a lack of original content.

I dissagree with this.
You should rephrase that Roach...
And just so that anyone understand it, you should also explain what is "original content" ?

Lemme put this in the way that I meant it...as I think you took this the wrong way.

Just copying the code and kinda pasting it in half-assed and just giving credit is what im thinking of here. Not really modifying the code, or basing your plugin around the block of code you are borrowing from the other plugin is what I'm thinking of. If you're borrowing a ton of code from other plugins, but not really changing much of anything except for minor vars and so forth, and its obvious that its just a bowl of copypasta, then its, in my mind, lacking original content.

Everyone borrows snippets of everyone elses code in some way or another to write their plugins or to get ideas of how to code something out. That is 100% encouraged and acceptable. I have a hunch you think I'm against copying any portion of code, which I'm not. Copying code is fine provided you are manipulating it on your own and bringing your own spin on the code, or at least if you are going to copy a portion of code giving credit to the original author, and its not 50,000 lines of code just ctrl+v'ed in there.

That clear up what I mean a little more?

If the plugin is only going to be for personal use. As in you're not going to distribute it and you arn't going to submit it to the plugins section then you can do what you like with it.

Modify anything as much or as little as you want.

All the above rules about copying code and crediting the original authors only applies to work you are redistibuting as your own work.
