Special effects -Satilite rain-
I'm looking to make a plugin called "satilite rain", which will also have several implications in later plugins. It allows you to paint a target, which is either an X Y Z coordinate or an id, and then blast it from space, IE, satilite rain.
Only problem is I cant find a suitable effect for it. ANy suggestions, and the code to do it? it needs to be a straight line down, and then a blast outward, which I was gonna steal from fireworks. Also, what are the default HL sounds for an air to ground bombing? |
You should use TE_BEAMPOINTS for this effect and make the starting origin somewhere up high to make it look as if its being shot downwards, then when the beam hits the point use TE_EXPLOSION to make it...explode O.o...

I think theres also another TE_ entity which does an expanding shockring. Best thing to do is to look through this and see what fits you needs:

OOh. Nice works. But I'm going to use a flare to make it look better. Any other idea's?

Make it so that those who do'nt die from the shockwave get knocked over, should be easy just call the animation of a headshot on the player when the "shockwave" hits.
