AMXMODX OR AMXX ?????? Which install directory is correct?

Hi all!

I have downloaded the latest nightly release, and wanted to install it on our linux server.

Should the directory be like this:

addons/amxmodx

or

addons/amxx ?

Because if I use amxmodx nothing is loaded, well i cant see the engine, fun or cstrike module is loaded?!

Modules.ini:

; AMX Mod X Modules
; You can specify both linux & win32 modules here
; To enable a module, remove the semi-colon from the line

; ------------------------------
; Fun - provides extra functions
; ------------------------------
fun_amxx_i386.so
;fun_amxx.dll

; ----------------------------------------------------
; Engine - provides engine functions core to Half-Life
; ----------------------------------------------------
engine_amxx_i386.so
;engine_amxx.dll

; ----------------------------------------------------------
; Fakemeta - provides a massive interface into the HL engine
; ----------------------------------------------------------
;fakemeta_amxx_i386.so
;fakemeta_amxx.dll

; -------------------------------------------
; Database Access - only enable one of these
; -------------------------------------------
; MySQL
;mysql_amxx_i386.so
mysql_amxx.dll
; PostgreSQL
;pgsql_amxx_i386.so
;pgsql_amxx.dll
; Microsoft SQL
;mssql_amxx.dll

; ---------------------------------------------
; GeoIP - determines the country of ip adresses
; ---------------------------------------------
;geoip_amxx_i386.so
;geoip_amxx.dll

; ------------------------------------
; Array - advanced arrays in scripting
; ------------------------------------
;array_amxx_i386.so
;array_amxx.dll

; --------------------------------
; Sockets - network socket support
; --------------------------------
;sockets_amxx_i386.so
;sockets_amxx.dll

; ----------------------------------------------------------
; Counter-Strike - adds functions specific to Counter-Strike
; ----------------------------------------------------------
cstrike_amxx_i386.so
;cstrike_amxx.dll

; ------------------------------------------------
; CS Stats - adds functionality for CS statistical
; ------------------------------------------------
;csstats_amxx_i386.so
;csstats_amxx.dll

And in my metamod plugin.ini i have this:

linux addons/amxmodx/dlls/amxmodx_mm_i386.so

But nothing is loading as I can see. Only the amxx is loaded when I type metalist.

Next I tried it on a win32 server, same thing, but there I can see the engine, fun and cstrike module is loaded! All my plugins is running and working... !!!

Could someone plz help me out? is AMXMODX directory the new directory?

Cheers

the correct place for the nightly builds is addons/amxmodx/

Its a good idea to have it like that soo you can have stable .16 release to fall back on if need be, that is what I did :D

P.S

As a feature to AMXX .20 ... modules no longer have to hook to metamod for them to run, the only thing meta list will show on AMXX .20 is AMX MOD X itself, the modules you would have to either use the command amxx modules or amx_modules.

Ok thx Bigballer!

But can u tell me why the engine, fun and cstrike modules not are loading into the linux system?

I dont know what I am doing wrong... :-(

hey

AMXX 0.20 = addons/amxmodx/

AMXX 0.16 = addons/amxx/

AMX = addons/amx

Thanks for bumping a month old thread to post something that had already been answered.
