TFC Conc Server Plugin

This is a plugin made specifically for TFC Conc Servers.

Updates

Version 1.2
Removed two features and added ability to toggle the blast movement.


Version 1.1
Downsized internal entity array from 100000 to 3072. The engine can only hold 2048 entities, extra 1000 slots for peace of mind

Features

- Conc dizziness blocked (players can unblock by typing /dizzy in chat)

- Blast movement (being thrown by weapon/nade explosions) blocked (players can unblock by typing /blast in chat)

Commands

"say /dizzy" -
Toggles conc dizziness effect
"say /blast" -
Toggles your ability to be blasted (moved by explosions/concs)

No this code and idea was from my conc server that I ran last summer, 'hi's conc server'

Nice to see such a competent plugin for TFC.
I know what Ramon refers to, but I think its just a coinsidence.
Euroskillz use something similar, but yet very differant.

Personally I think its a bit intrusive to hardcode what a "bad" nade is.
Mostly those nades are bad when concing, but there are many dm arenas on skills maps, and lots of occations when people just spam away a couple of minutes. If all agree, and noone bothers, why shouldnt they? After all there is Tfc No Nades (http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=113083) which is a better way of deciding what bad nades are, by the admin.

The auto health refill is also intrusive, for the same reason.
The old school no quad maps where supposed to be risky business for the player. Ok, its annoying to die as demoman, but its a matter of skills, and thats how the maps where designed.

I also think that the blast effect should be optional, you chose to be blasted or not.

But the best part which has been missing from the pub plugins is the option to turn dizzy on and off.

Yes you are right about these things Llama. I basically took this plugin from my server, which was the way I assumed things should be. But to make it more public these things should be optional. I will remove the nade blocking and health refill and add an option to allow people to be blasted. Is this a good way to go about it:

say /dizzy: Toggles dizziness (default off)
say /blast: Toggles blasting (default off)

Sounds good, but you could also have it like it was on esporthalle. When a player gets hit by a blast, no matter from what, he got a menu asking
"Do you want to turn off blasting from other players
1. Yes
2. No"

If you also could add an admin command to override the user blast command.
amx_blast 1/0.

When 'amx_blast 1' all players can be blasted, with 'amx_blast 0' no player can blast any other player.

I think the menu would be a little excessive, people would have to see it once a map.

kmal2t, the only thing the same in this plugin and the Concussion block plugin is, well... the concussion block. lol

Most of the work being done in hi's plugin is the blocking of the blasts, which I've been wanted for ages ;D!

This plugin is awesome, great work hi.

While rocket jumping today my friend found a bug with the plugin.

It seems that if you hug a wall and try to rocket yourself off of it, then you won't get boosted. We both tested it and that seems to be the only time you don't get blasted.

Sometimes it will blast you, sometimes it won't.

I attacked a demo of my friend trying to shoot himself on the wall so you can see exactly what I'm talking about.
