Experimental Test!

Dear people!

We are planning some SourceHook changes (vtable-wide hooks), and before we can release anything, we have to be sure that the changes are compatible with old plugins.

That's why I'd like to ask YOU to test it. (Note that this is experimental and can crash so better don't test it on "production" servers!) Simply install the newest SourceMM binary build from http://www.sourcemm.net/index.php?go=builds (build r396+) and post in this thread:
0) What platform are you using?
1) Does the server run with it?
2) Do plugins run with it?
3) Do you notice any problems?

I'll post about the changes for developers and how to use them tomorrow.

Thank you very much!

Re: Experimental Test!

PM updated SourceHook again; if you were running revision 386, please update to 396. Even if it works fine, please reply here so we know things are working.

Re: Experimental Test!

That's perfect. That's what I hoped for!!! I guess we can release it then, BAIL? ;) or do we need more people to report? hmm, maybe someone with a linux server.. :)

Re: Experimental Test!

Ah, I forgot to address your question: I think that SourceMod binaries are also generated hourly or something; I'm not sure however as I have next to nothing to do with that; check the sourcemod news for more info :)

Re: Experimental Test!

Anything else you may want me to test on a windows server feel free to ask

TEST: r402-20070527

1) Linux Suse 9.3, Kernel 2.6.11.4-21.17;
2) Server runs perfect, with players… or without them;
3) I don’t have much plugins, but SourceMOD and BAT works fine. Anyway, I use latest SRCDS beta (Exe build: 16:30:29 May 10 2007 (3106)) and server looks stable.
