Generating useless message
I know this sounds stupid, but I need part of my plug-in to generate message, which doesn't have any effect on anything if possible... Basically a trash message... Or at least it doesn't have much effect...
Also, it would be nice that message is relatively short :) So, if you have an idea write down some code here... :) |

Not functions, litteraly messages, Ammox, TextMsg, ResetHUD etc.

You could use some of the CZ singleplayer messages, though I don't remember their names or arguments. Or you could send a temp entity effect outside of the map (so that no one can view it).

Hm... that with temp entity isn't such a bad idea, but where to put such entity since coordinates that would be outside one map may not be outside other... I had another idea, to send message that has same values as present state of something it's suppose to change, or if there is some message that updates information but won't be noticed (like you suggested with temp entity) or that is normal to be updated from time to time (not triggered by anything except time). Do you know anything that might be similar to this?

No, I don't want to send message to other plugins, I want to send message from server to client that won't change appearance of anything :) That is the whole point, as I said, I have good reasons :P but irrelevant for this theme :)
I suppose this could only be achieved with ways already written here... Only problem - what message, and how would that algorithm look like... :) |
