Help How to turn off radar CSDM?
Its hard to play completly without team work help or without cheating when the radar displays where players are at. How do you turn off radar. So no ones radar will work on the server. Also with podbot how do you set the podbots to play in free for all? Its hard to make a rule no team work, If my bots are playing as a team. |

Use the beta version I posted. It switches off the radar in FFA mode. You can change FFA during the game from the menu.
I'll post You later the plugin which follows CSDM ffa and AMX X weapon restrictions. Temporary You can use the cvar: pb_ffa 1 (it switches free for all mode for bots). |

I thought FFA mode blocks radar? It scrambles the coordinates.

The original csdm_ffa plugin doesn't switch off the radar completly, but it leaves it empty if You start the map with CSDM and FFA enabled. But if You start the map with FFA disabled the radar is working normally (as it is supposed to be in the normal game) until You switch on FFA - then You can see on the radar the last position of Your teamnates from the moment You switched on FFA and also if they (Your teamnates) are using radio commands - You can see some blinking points on the radar. It looks kinda odd - I didn't like that - so I used the command client_cmd(0, "hideradar") for FFA enabled and and client_cmd(0, "drawradar") for FFA disabled which looks much better.

I won't accept a patch that does that because if clients leave the server, their radar won't be drawn again. Otherwise I would have already done that in both Source and 1.6 ;) -- well, given the latest Source update, it wouldn't even work anymore.
If there was a radar_disable option for the FFA section (0=none, 1=scramble, 2=client disable), with 1 being the default, I'd say it's okay. But changing client settings by default is bad. |

I did it so - if CSDM is disabled - the radar is working normally. If CSDM is enabled:
1 - the radar disapears if FFA was enabled (in the csdm.cfg or You enabled it from the main CSDM menu). 2 - the radar still is working normally if FFA is disabled. If after playing some time with CSDM enabled the server's admin decides to enable FFA - the radar goes to off. And vice-versa - if the admin wants in some moment disable FFA - the radar goes back working normally. What is wrong here? I didn't get what You mean about client disconnecting - You mean - if the new client connects (in the free slot - free because of that previous disconnected client) he cannot see the radar anymore - even after disabling FFA (in this case the radar should be drawn again - according to this what I wrote above)? The only thing I can see I could do wrong is - I don't check in the function client_putinserver() if the FFA (and CSDM) is enabled or not - to draw the radar or hide it for that client - but this I believe I can add into code. [EDIT] Just edited my version csdm_ffa - but instead in client_putinserver I just check in the player respawn (even RESET_HUD) - if CSDM and FFA are enabled - then I'm switching off the radar. I was disconnecting from the server (the bot was added instead me), then I've connected again - I haven't seen any problem with the radar. [/EDIT] |

Execute hideradar. Disconnect. Join another server. You won't have radar.
That's a problem, I don't like mods changing client settings without their permission. |
