Re: The Speechmenu

Every speech sound is located in "<gamedir>/sound/" folder, the default speechmenu sounds is included in a .GCF file so you can't see them without open the .GCF file. You can open .GCF files with like: Nem's GCFScape (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=1)
So could you see what for sounds you can find and add to the server.
Here's an example:
spk \'barney/hellonicesuit\'
spk search after the sound file in "sound/" folder.
"barney" is a folder and "hellonicesuit" is the name of the .WAV filename.
If you add a custom sound so would it be like this:
spk \'misc/song1\'"

misc/ means its located in "<gamedir>/sound/" folder (<gamedir>/sound/misc/).

Here's some sounds:

So the whole line would look like this right....?
"duckjob" "spk \'misc/duckjob\'" "cd" "u"
It shows up in the menu but will not play? The wav file is in the sound\misc folder. I have all access flags. I don't understand why it won't play?

Re: The Speechmenu

because you either dont have it downloaded in that same folder on your pc... you need a downloaded on your server that will download the songs/sounds to users pc

I don't know why this is not working? It doen't seem that dang difficult?

I added this line to the speech.ini....
"duckjob" "spk misc/duckjob.wav" "cd" "u" and restarted the map and nothing? No sound?

I then tried this line here...
"duckjob" "spk \'misc/duckjob.wav\' " "cd" "u"
and restarted map and still nothing? Hmmmm?

I again tryed this without the .wav and nothing?
You guys are great with the quick responses. Thank you so much. I will continue to try something new with this line.

What do you mean by a downloader on the server?

Re: The Speechmenu

here is my speech.ini you can try it out if you want ill mark the custom sounds on mine:

Code:

; Menu configuration file
; File location: $moddir/addons/amxmodx/configs/speech.ini
; To use with Commands Menu plugin

; NOTE: By default in all settings the access level is set to "u".
;      However you can change that, to limit the access to some settings.

; Commands Menu: ; < description > < command > < flags > < access level >
; "a" - execute from server console
; "b" - execute from admin console
; "c" - execute on all clients
; "d" - back to menu when executed

"Hello"        "spk \'scientist/hello\'"    "cd"    "u"            "cd"    "u"
"Don't think so"        "spk \'barney/dontguess\'"        "cd"    "u"
"Don't ask me"            "spk \'barney/dontaskme\'"        "cd"    "u"
"Hey! Stop that!"        "spk \'barney/donthurtem\'"        "cd"    "u"

those custom sounds are in cstrike/sounds/misc/waitingforsuspect.wav or the others.... This is as far as i go i guess the only thing i can think of is the sounds aren't .wav files or are in the wrong place.. good luck.
