finding wav played during event

I need to find a way to figure out what wav file is being played during an event , for instance
Code:
if(get_user_ammo(id)==0) // if users gun is empty {        get the wav file being played now }
basicly i want to figure out which wav file is being played when a users gun is empty . so i can use the file later .

Open the gcf files?

Compare the sound file to the sounds you hear in game?

Pretty much yes, most if not all required files are in the gcf.

GCFscape is the program I use.

Yes, gcfscape is the program that opens the gcf files.

You can extract files from the gcf files with gcfscape...you just cant import.
