PopUp Description?
1 Attachment(s)
Can I make a PopUp Description like the one that you get when
holding your Mouse Cursor over an Object as Commander? (See attached Image if you do not know what I mean) |
Re: [NS] PopUp Description?
ns_popup ( index, szMsg[180], ah )
Set index to 0 to send to everybody. The last parameter, if set to 1, will only display when the player has cl_autohelp set to 1. http://www.amxmodx.org/funcwiki.php?go=inc&id=13 |
Re: [NS] PopUp Description?
Negative.
It makes a Message that is created in the Upper Right Corner of the Screen and falls down. Used for Autohelp. Example: "You are in the Ready Room. Walk through an entrance to join a Team" etc. EDIT: Or maybe there i something special in the Message which makes it work that Way? Something with "^" or "\"? |
Re: PopUp Description?
Please someone tell me if this is possible or not and if it is, please let me know how!
Schnitzelmaker sadly did not answer my Question in the Way I meant it. I tried register_event and found the Event for the normal PopUp Messages but the Event is not called if one of those Special Messages appears. This means that I can not use ns_popup Function for this. If I will make a request is that rated as third Party request and makes me get banned? *unsure* |

Re: PopUp Description?
Yea, it is HudText2.
HudText are normal Hud Messages we already know. But what are those PopUp Messages staying at one specific place and stop doing so on another Event? Those that the Commander sees are probably Client Side only, so I cannot catch these, but what about the Message that appears if an Alien looks at any Hive and has the same Window just in yellow Color showing its Health and describing what it is/does. It needs to be Server Side, as it is showing the Hives Health. Or... The Players always see the Health of all Hives in the upper right Corner of the Screen maybe the Information is taken from there?! I am desperated! Please help!! |
Re: PopUp Description?
You should use Damaged Soul's Message Logging and see what, if any, events occur when the message appears. If none occur, it's probably client-side.
