Blinding flashlight
I don't know if it's possible to create, but maybe if it is, it could be fun and usefull....
My idea, a blinding flashlight. Everybody has a flashlight, but it is hardly used (only the n00bs ;)). Maybe it's possible to create a flashlight which can actually blind people. If you shine it at someones head, he doesn't see anything, or lesser than normal (visibility set by cvar). Ofcourse to prevent abuse, the flashlight should only work for a certain amount of time, before it must recharge (battery recharge time set by cvar). If the enemy uses nightvision, the bad visibility is duplicated. e.g. he sees twice as bad (or completely white, like flash). I don't know if it's possible to detect the place where the flashlight is aiming at, but if it's possible, maybe it would be fun :) Well, if anyone likes my idea and is a good coder, have fun building it :) |
Re: Blinding flashlight
Wow this sounds awesome.

Re: Blinding flashlight
I sorta got something similiar. Like in CZ, only on m3s.

Re: Blinding flashlight
I rekon this should be do-able .. nightvision and flashlight are well overdue for a populairy boost as they are rarely used in cs .

Re: Blinding flashlight
haha I got a heatvision for nightvision. All unfinished sorry.

Re: Blinding flashlight
Well, i hope someone is able to build it :)

Re: Blinding flashlight
Some extra suggestions:
- Intensity depending on darkness of room. - Intensity depending on distance to enemy. - Low intensity on all teammates (e.g. 25% or lower), to prevent abuse. I sure hope my idea is possible in CS ;) |
Re: Blinding flashlight
You should add to this plugin. Not really about the flashlight. but what if your "eyes" had to adjust to the light.
Say you were camping in a really dark room, your eyes would have to get used to the dark, then if you went into serious light really quick, your eyes would like gets "blinded" for a few seconds. |

Re: Blinding flashlight
Whehe, would also be nice indeed. But i hope this is all possible in HL1. I'm having doubts about that :)
Any of the coders know if it's possible, and possibly willing to spend some time on the ideas in this thread? :) |
