Seems you know how to help him? Otherwise why does non-steam triggers you so much?

Steam Cracks
You do not need to own the game on Steam to participate in these forums. However, publicizing violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) will result in a ban. This includes...
Linking to sites that are targeted toward cracking Steam or circumventing its copyright protection.
Asking for support against cracked or illegitimate versions of Steam, either directly or via evidence in your request.
Mentioning that you, or promoting the act of, cracking Steam or circumventing its copyright protection.
Promoting the running of "no-steam" servers, or publicizing that you run such servers.

You buying the game or not is irrelevant. The forum does not allow you to PUBLICLY DISCLOSE that you run cracked servers or PROMOTE running cracked servers.
What you do is your own business based on your own regard for the law, this forum only prohibits you from publicly talking about illegal stuff.

It is as simple as that, do not mention dproto or non steam. No one is actually going to check that you run a legit server, just don't talk about breaking copyright laws on the forum. Is this hard to understand?

Also, for everyone else trying to debate or voice their very strong opinon on this. It is not a matter up for debate, the rules are the rules. Either comply or stop posting.
