Bad file (force_unmodified)
Hello everyone,
I'm curious if there is a solution for what i need. If i am going to upload a new model into "cstrike/models/player/vip" the main problem is that the players who already downloaded the old vip model now will get kicked with message: Bad file /cstrike/models/player/vip Cause old VIP vs NEW VIP model does not match. I know if i set to 0: mp_consistency 0 (it works) but this is not a solution for me cause i want force all players to use the server models not their own models. Even if i set to 0 the players who already have old vip model it don't benefit of new model (when i play i see the old vip model instead of new cause) Is there a way to check if clients models don't match with server and if YES just re-download again that model and overwrite the old one or something like this. Is there any solution for this? Thank you. |
Re: Bad file (force_unmodified)
Simply rename the model to vipnew or whatever you want. Also rename it in the plugin that is requesting it. Voila.

This way i use right now! but i was think there is some tricky code or whatever which not require every time if i change a model file to make a new one with different name and then also manually to change in .ini file the class name. Thanks. |
Re: Bad file (force_unmodified)
If a player has already downloaded a file, they will never download it again. The only option is to give it a new name. If you don't, you make it so that some people will never be able to play on your server again (as long as you are forcing unmodified).
