Generic precache limit
 
Hey everyone,
I'm just not sure, if i really have this much precache free space in the generic type or there is some hidden stuff, as mentioned in some posts.

Type : Total Limit
model : 238 510
sound : 375 511
generic : 79 4096
event : 29 255
decal : 225 511
------------------------

Does this mean that i can precache 4017 more files with precache_generic? 'cause that would be great.

Yes, but keep in mind with the different maps and stuff that the number can greatly change.

Wrote rescount into the console, I have reHLDS. And as i can see, this guy has the same limits:

EDIT:
As far as i know, generic type ain't client sided. i mean, it's not added to any client sided precache list. So it kinda could make sense, if it's limit would be much bigger than the others.
