[HELP] Material Detection
 
How do you detect a surface's material? Like if it's made of concrete or wood. I plan on using them for both bullet hits and footsteps...

Its a combination of EngFunc_TraceTexture + DLLFunc_PM_FindTextureType. Please refer to this (albeit 10 year old) post for example. But you should use this with caution, it might crash the server.

Thank you for answering! I'll try to be careful and minimize its use. Not very familiar with EngFuncs but I'll try to figure it out for now. I will reply again when I run into trouble. Once again, thank you!...
