Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?
Frontline, if you want 1) then it's possible , if you want 2) then still possible but it requires a lot of work , so I wouldn't accept doing that.
1) Player can open menu and choose a case , example AWP case, if he doesn't have AWP he won't be able to access, otherwise a sub-menu with AWP models will appear (Dark AWP, Fire AWP, Green AWP) , if he isn't holding AWP when choosing a skin, we'll set AWP as the weapon he's holding and will set the skin. 2 ) The same as 1 ) just that here he can choose a skin for AWP even if he doesn't own an AWP, but the selection will be saved in an external nVault file which will be called the first time he owns an AWP, then we'll set his skin. |
Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?

Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?
Making the menu and sub-menus and sub-sub-sub-menus and nvault stuff is easy. Let me see you change the skin of a v_ model.

Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?
V_ models don't work with submodels/subtextures, there is a way to do it tho, but is messy and CPU intensive so it is not worth it

Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?
He wants to use SUB-MODELS for v_ weapon models, do you even know what that means?
|
Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?
Not really, I just thought he wanted to change weapon skin, but the word sub-model itself tells you to put a model a model in another one, so he wants to mix 2 models ?

Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?
It's possible to squeeze more models into a single .mdl file. Those models are called sub-models.

Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?
yeah if all the skins are in the submodel or however that works then the code i'm assuming could choose the skin for the p/v/ or w model. My modeler buddy says it's not problem on his end for compiling.

Re: REQUEST ? Is this Possible?
I think that's not possible. Why don't you just stick to the working side ? Just make them download models one by one instead of crashing them.
