UPDATE - Version 2.00 Released!
This mod removes dead mode from Counter-Strike, letting CS servers have varying styles of Deathmatch play.

CSDM is modular. You can choose to only run the module itself, which does efficient and accurate respawning and has other optimized capabilities, or you can enhance it with CSDM plugins. The available plugins are:
  • Equip - Weapons/equipment menu
  • Presets - Random preset spawning
  • Misc - Various miscellanious features
  • Protection - Configurable spawn protection
  • Tickets - Lets you have round ticketing
  • Spawn Editor - Menu GUI for editing map spawns
The module portion was coded by me (BAILOPAN), the plugins were a team effort by me and Freecode. Huge thanks to Riddick51 of UFC for sponsoring CSDM2 development. CSDM2 is a total rewrite of CSDM1, focusing on massive optimizations and much more flexibility.

If you want a map to be supported, contact me, or read the readme on how to do it yourself, and then submit to me the ent/spawn definition file.

The CSDM package is attached this post. Click here to read the documentation. Simply extract it and edit your config files. Make sure to read csdm.cfg to tweak your settings!

Maybe this mod could be cool to play with Metamap, but then Metamap plugin would need to be changed. It could spawn a new map every 5 minutes or so.

Metamap sounds quite interesting, and looks great... Once I figure it out, and can ad other banners and such like in the picture, this plugin/mod will fit it perfectly... I see a new Frag Night once AMXX seems stable enough to a coding idiot like myself :)

yep. it will be written entirely in metamod because AMX is too slow to handle some of the things it does

I am using this plugin. I have a few questions though.

How do I turn off the HUD display, displaying the gratuitious "made by bailopan" and the message "type respawn to spawn maunally?"

Additionally, none of the commands seem to work. Respawn, gun_menu, ect.

This is flooding the chat area, which makes chat nearly impossible.

I believe it would be better for all the commands for the user to be in the console to help keep the screen free of excess noise.

I don't even know why that CVAR is there, it should be disabled by default

Nm, i found the problem....I had to un comment the following in the module.ini

I have updated CSDM Mod to version 1.68.

Hey, was wondering if you could do me a favor.

I run CSDM on CZero. Think you can edit the spawn locations for the new CZ maps? I could see this as a problum for servers running CZ maps on CS as well. A few spots players are stuck, plus the new maps the players spawn at the spawn and its not CSDM. :)

I would do it myself but i cant seem to get the teleport menu to work on the server. As in every option to save/tele dosnt work. If i could just die tilli found the stuck spots i would save the location and remove them in the cfg's.

I love this plug in but we only run it during the day and into the evening, the rest of the time we run a FF pub. Is there a way to get csdm to turn off FF when you enable it (csdm_enable 1) and then turn it back on when you disable it (csdm_enable 0)?? I have csdm_kill_all set to 0, so i assumed it would kill ff automatically.. lemme know if you can, thanks!!@!

Edit: Also for some reason, and this is only sometimes, when the first T joins the t side after csdm is turned on it locks up the server.. I think this has something to do with the first T having the bomb and the plugin trying to drop it (i assume this b/c when i have tested it it moves the bomb to my hand like its trying to drop it, then crashes the server). Is this a known bug? or is this just really not meant to work with amxx?

Im using AMXX v0.16, MetamodX v1.17X3, OS: Linux, And csdm v1.68. Any help would be good, thanks :)

Joining CSDM in the middle of a round
 
Hi all. Lookin for some help with CSDM. When ever a player joins my server in the middle of a round, he cannot buy any weapons. Once the map changes, then he can. I have had this problem with serveral versions of CSDM. I am currently running the latest version with AMX Mod X. Any help would be appreciated.

You're not supposed to be able to buy weapons in CSDM.

I guess I worded that wrong. What I meant is the player does not get to choose his primary and secondary weapon. Your stuck with just a glock or a usp until the map changes. He doesn't see that little weapon choice menu.

Mapchange dosnt use new spawns, totaly server reboot is needed.

Having problums spawning italy_cz when i set my spawns (20 max) and i count in my cfg file 20 then reboot, and some of the spawns are missing and some new ones are there where i didnt add them and there not in the cfg. Are some spawns hardcoded or somethin?

Spawned Dust and Dust2 w/o any problums tho.

Also, when i joined like a normal cs map thats now a cz map it dosnt analize, but if i join a map like rats2 it does. Why is that?

Yo BAILOPAN.

One bug i found when you have a all bot team. We run csdm where all the bots are on T side. All players auto join CT. Well, when you begin the first round on a de_ map the bot with the bomb auto drops it and it becomes invisable. Well so far 100% of the time the bomb lands in a wall or behind one, and all the bots swarm to its location and jump on eachothers head and stack and like almost all of them will be there trying to get the bomb. LoL. Funny thing to see.

Is there a way to fix this? Of corse the ez fix is to make all the bots auto spawn ct, but it would be nice to fix this somehow.

CSDM: Counter Strike Deathmatch Modified
 
First of, I love this plugin! My players love it too! All hell breaks loose on fy_iceworld.

But, I noticed that everytime the map changed, I had to go and manually reset some of the server variables to work the best with csdm.

I have attached the modified plugin. Here is what I have added:
mp_friendlyfire is 0
mp_autoteambalance 1
mp_round time 9 (The max amount of time allowed)
mp_freezetime 0 (when the round ends, the cs freezetime is zero)

It has worked so far on my server!

PS: I have a CS 1.5 WON server, so if anybody is going to use this on a 1.6 Steam, you have to change csdm_steam to 1

Did you just download the whole zip file and install it, or did you change some of the variables in the sma plugin, and compile it?

I was running into the same problem, where it would freeze the server after about 5 minutes, and I had to shut the server down, and restart it.

It turned out that I had to change csdm_steam to 0 in the sma, then compile it
