Question: message code for ...
... loading a simple model from the models directory and have it just sit at a designated coordinate for a set amount of time.
I have looked through the HL SDK common/const.h file and the only thing that looks remotely right is the TE_MODEL message code, but thats specifically for adding a bounce and velocity to the model, eg the chicken tossing from rollthedice. I am merely looking to load a model and display it at a designated spot, and having a hard time figuring out the right message to use. Can anyone pls take pity and point me to a plugin that uses the right mesg or post the right message number so I can look it up in the sdk? I'd appreciate your pity. :) Mugwump |
Having gone through most of the possible message blocks and not finding anything working for my needs I resorted to creating a new entity with the caller's model and other data. It works in regards that a similar looking entity is created and sits there (which is what I want), but it spawns in a mid-run pose, is there a way to set the stance of the entity? I am new to using the entity functions so if there is something you can point me to (an existing plugin or whatnot) that'd be great.
Thanks, Mugwump |
