Re: Galileo v2.6 (a feature rich map voting plugin) | Last Update: 09.04.2016

I use version dev (2.6.1-60), and my server no starting.
AMX MOD X - 1.8.2.

I use version stable (2.6.1) and my server is online.
Something needs to change?

Hi, the dev version should be stable, but there is sometime I do not work with it.
If the stable is working, you could use it.

I just tested and my server working with version dev (2.6.1-60), but I did not tested it with all configuration.

Could send some logs about you crash? Let the DEBUG_LEVEL on 7, if it is not already on 7 and compile again. Then to install it and see if you can find any log errors.

If you cannot do that, you could wait until I work more on the devlopement version and let it became more stable. But it will take until July month end.

The server did not start and there are no error-log. A clean configuration does not work.

Why these '[META] ERROR'? Galileo does not use Engine and Ham Sandwich.

Does not read mapcycle?

Did you set the DEBUG_LEVEL to 7 and recompile it?

There is another log you can enable. Could you use it? It is the '-condebug'. Example:
Code:

echo "For windows:"
start hlds.exe -console -game czero -pingboost 2 +log on -autoupdate -update -condebug -noaff -debug -allowdebug -secure +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 32 +port 27013

echo "For Linux:"
./hlds_run -console -game cstrike -pingboost 2 +log on -autoupdate -condebug -noaff -debug -allowdebug -secure +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 32 +port 27015

There is also the '-debug -allowdebug', but I am not sure if they do something useful or still working on the newer HLDS server versions, so just use because they could not do any harm.

The log will can be found on your Half-Life install the location. Example:
Code:

F:\SteamCMD\steamapps\common\Half-Life
And it will be the file 'qconsole.log' on that folder. Example:
Code:

F:\SteamCMD\steamapps\common\Half-Life\qconsole.log

When you are playing and it is [23-09] hours and you nominate 'de_nuke', it appears in the vote menu?
The white list say/states that they should be played between [10-22] then it will block them at [23-09].

I am not sure, but just to be sure:

The whitelist feature only blocks the maps from being added automatically as vote map fillers, if you want to block from being able to be nominated, you need to use these cvars:
Code:
// When there are less players than cvar 'gal_vote_minplayers' value on // the server, use a different map file list specified at the cvar // 'gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile' to fill the map voting as map fillers // instead of the cvar 'gal_vote_mapfile' map file list. // A value of 0 or 1 will disable this feature. gal_vote_minplayers 0 // Let the server players nominate maps from the nomination file list // 'gal_nom_mapfile'. But, when the cvar 'gal_vote_minplayers' is enabled, // only allow nominations from the 'gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile'. // Note: This will allow the players to nominated maps not from //       'gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile', but they will not be show //       at the map voting if there are less players than //       'gal_vote_minplayers', at the moment when the voting starts. // // 0 - Show all nominated maps. // 1 - Only allow nominations from the 'gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile' when //     when the cvar 'gal_vote_minplayers' is enabled. gal_nom_minplayers_control 0 // The map file to use when 'gal_vote_minplayers' is enabled. // Use # for your mapcycle (whatever file is on the cvar 'mapcyclefile'). gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile "addons/amxmodx/configs/galileo/minplayers_mapcycle.txt"

I could add a option to the whitelist feature also block the players from nominate those maps, at the next version, if you want to.

Re: Galileo v2.6 (a feature rich map voting plugin) | Last Update: 09.04.2016

Yes, I have DEBUG_LEVEL to 7.

I started the server and logs:

Code:

L 06/01/2016 - 23:12:13: Server cvars end
L 06/01/2016 - 23:12:13: -------- Mapchange to de_dust2 --------
L 06/01/2016 - 23:12:13: Server cvar "amxmodx_version" = "1.8.2"
L 06/01/2016 - 23:12:13: Server cvar "sv_maxspeed" = "900"
[AMXX] Loaded 82 admins from file
L 06/01/2016 - 23:12:13: Server cvar "amx_language" = "en"
L 06/01/2016 - 23:12:13: Server cvar "amx_client_languages" = "1"
L 06/01/2016 - 23:12:13: Server cvar "gal_version" = "v2.6.1-60"
L 06/01/2016 - 23:12:13: Server cvar "amx_nextmap" = "$10000$"

and server not started ( Status "check" in panel ). No more logs...

---

I use this settings:

Code:

gal_runoff_enabled 1
gal_vote_mapfile "#"
gal_vote_minplayers 0
gal_nom_minplayers_control 0
gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile "addons/amxmodx/configs/galileo/minplayers_mapcycle.txt"
gal_whitelist_minplayers 1
gal_vote_whitelist_mapfile "addons/amxmodx/configs/galileo/whitelist_mapcycle.txt"
gal_nom_mapfile "#"
gal_emptyserver_change 1
gal_emptyserver_mapfile "addons/amxmodx/configs/galileo/emptycycle_maplist.txt"

maps not included with [10-22] hours but will appear in the vote... Read mapcycle.txt and ignored whitelist_mapcycle.txt?

I checked this code:

Code:

else if( get_pcvar_num( cvar_whitelistMinPlayers ) == 1
                || get_realplayersnum() < get_pcvar_num( cvar_whitelistMinPlayers ) )
                {
                        new blockedWhitelistMaps[ MAX_NOMINATION_COUNT ][ MAX_MAPNAME_LENGHT ];

                        vote_addNominations( blockedWhitelistMaps );
                        vote_addFiller( blockedWhitelistMaps, true, charsmax( blockedWhitelistMaps[] ), 0 );

                        client_print(0, print_chat, "test")
                }

and actually works! But why maps not included [10-22] appear in the vote (e.g. de_nuke)?

Because it just ignores the maps that are not included on the 'gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile' map file list. Then, if you want to force the de_nuke to follow some hourly rule as [10-22], you need to add it to the 'gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile' map file list. Otherwise, it will be always available.

If you want to, I can add a configuration to the whitelist feature, to also block all maps that are not included on the 'gal_vote_minplayers_mapfile' map file list hourly rule, at the next plugin version.

I found the solution to my problem. I change cvar gal_nom_minplayers_control 0 -> 1.

This is whitelist_mapcycle.txt:

Code:

[22-10]
cs_militia
de_train
de_dust2
de_inferno
de_nuke

[10-22]
de_dust2_long

I nominated de_nuke and... not appeared in vote!

Full configuration:

Code:

gal_vote_mapfile "#"
gal_vote_minplayers 0
gal_nom_minplayers_control 1
gal_whitelist_minplayers 1
gal_nom_mapfile "#"

Re: Galileo v2.6 (a feature rich map voting plugin) | Last Update: 09.04.2016

With this plugin and the default mapchooser I cannot get 0 to work :(

If I press zero it just keeps on counting down. Other numbers are fine although maybe not 9. I don't think I have 0 bound to anything. I have looked and I don't see it bound to any other action. I have searched various places and in search engines but nothing about pressing 0 has shown up.

Thanks in advance
