[TF2] + [MVM] Trying to make a siren and announcer remover plugin and i need help.
So basically i'm trying to create a plugin to disable the sirens and the announcer in MVM.
wonder why? the sounds are bloody annoying UGH!, and i don't care if someone will not care about the bomb, i just need a way for the trigger points not to play these sounds, but the question is how? i will need some help from some of the sourcemod plugin creators here. |

I believe all of that is client-side.
However, there are entities that mark areas on the map where if the bomb carrier enters said area, it will trigger the siren and the announcer's warning. If you know the name of this entity you can use stripper: source to remove them from all the maps. The bomb carrier should then walk right to the hole with no announcement or siren playing (and also quietly deploy it too with nobody noticing, lol). That solution, however, would disable the sounds for everyone, so be aware of that. You might like the lack of sound but if I was on your server I would be annoyed by the lack of warning before the bomb got deployed. I can probably ask one of the 4 MvM mappers on my list for the name of the entity... assuming I get a response back from them shortly. EDIT: Got a response. It is func_flagdetectionzone. |

Like I said, I believe most of that is client side. Some things you cannot disable, like the spy notification, tank notification (this you probably could disable but I don't know - check the pop file), the countdown, since the client automatically plays those when those events are sent to the client. I only knew how to solve the siren problem and also the announcer's panicking lines about the bomb because that is only triggered when the bomb bot touches the flag detection zone entity.
