[TF2 | Help] Voting for custom MvM Maps
Sorry if there is already such a thread, or I'm posting this in the wrong area.
I've installed the NativeVotes (https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=208008) into my MvM Server to allow my players to vote for the Custom and/or Official Valve Maps towards the end of the round. However, despite voting for a Custom MvM Map, the server will always load the Official Valve Maps. What's more interesting is that they will load as if there is a Map Cycle. I've edited the map cycle, etc. but it doesn't seem to load the Voted map instead... Is there a way to get the server to load the Voted Maps instead of loading the Official Valve Maps? Thank you in Advance |
Re: [TF2 | Help] Voting for custom MvM Maps
That is because mvm uses the mvm mission cycle file, which is a res file.
Mapchooser does not support that feature, though powerlord was working on adding support. For my needs, I just write out a custom res file, and then set the next map. It executes properly since the map is in the res, and has the pop file in the res, however sometimes the pop file loads wrong, so I manually have the mod load the proper popfile right after the map changes as well. I would assume forcing the next map//using changelevel would work, providing the map is in your res file. Have you tried manually making one for your map cycle and setting that custom res file in the launch options? |
