Console Logging

Hey Guys, I was wondering if there was a plugin to log the console. I mean I know we can do it without a plugin by adding "log on" in the server.cfg file and the logs will start logging in the /logs folder. HOWEVER, There are many log files and they come out in like chunks which is everytime the map changes, a new log file starts. The way the log file looks is good so I don't mind that but can someone kindly suggest me a plugin or modify the default console logging that like has 1 log file per day? Instead of a new log file each map change?

Thanks

Re: Console Logging

A timescale on the order of days does not make sense for this type of game, IMO (because a map could go between 23:45 and 00:14). If this is not already a setting in the server logs, then I highly recommend looking at a post processing technique to concatenate the files based on their timestamp. Also, with post processing, you could break up that last map into the corresponding day parts.

Re: Console Logging

Thanks for the quick reply. About the Map Change carrying on to the next day, I think it's better if someone tells me a time and date of when an incident happened than someone saying the map was de_dust2. Since we change maps like every 30 minutes on my server that would mean at least 48 log files per day.

Oh, and please don't like introduce me to this advanced coding stuff unless if its properly explained :D Like I know nothing about manually changing the post processing stuff. So, is it possible to make the console logs per day instead of per map change?
