Block In water Jumping sound "pl_wadeX.wav"
Hello, Im making "better water sounds" and i need to block this sound somehow "in tittle".
When this sound is playing then emit sound is not called thats the problem. There have to be anyohter way ( there always is ) Thank you! |

It's the same as jump sounds, as far as I'm aware it cannot be blocked. I'm not sure if anyone done it using Orpheu though (but then again, I know nothing about it).
Look up the jump footsteps, it's been discussed many times, you might be able to find a solution there. |

Ive been search and trying things for long time now.
There is nothing in this forum yet what will be solution for my problem. |

I'm not sure that it's possible.
@Backstabnoob they are both called on client-side however it's still different to jump sound, which can be blocked with mp_footsteps 0, however water jump cannot. I've been unable to find a solution with Orpheu but I have an idea that maybe it can be done with key values. I'm off to work now but I'll try it later. |

I did try to block jump with orpheu
here is the code: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showpo...7&postcount=10 but that sound wont still disappear. with CAMERA_3RDPERSON i can see that jump anim is played but after like 0.05 sec orpheu block it. I guess it is impossible to block this sound... |

Supercede the precache of those sounds should prevent them from being sent to other players, for player who is walking on water i don't know.
You can do the same for jump sound. |
