Setting Custom Downloads for Steampipe

I am having extreme difficulty trying to figure out where everything goes under the new directories for Steampipe (server side, not client side). I see default maps are just in hl2mp/maps, however I have custom maps in hl2mp/custom/custom_files/maps. Sounds are also in hl2mp/custom/custom_files/sounds. I made my redirect look exactly the same. However, seems people still aren't able to download the correct stuff and sounds through plugin saysounds aren't playing. Also, mapchooser extended is not working. I'm sure these two plugins are still looking in the old directories. So, has anybody had any luck in setting the server up correctly under SteamPipe? If so, how? Also, I looked at the sourcepawn scripts for mapchooser extended and saysouns and can't find anywhere where they point to a default path. So that makes me think, sourcemod actually has it written into. That brings another problem, sourcemod is also looking under the old default path for both sounds and maps under their in-game menu. So, what needs to get done to make sourcemod menu compatible with SteamPipe directories? Any community and developer assistance is appreciated !!!

I know how it should work, but I don't know how Valve actually has it working.

Incidentally, what version of SourceMod are you using?

I just set my server up as before, with maps in maps folder, sounds in sounds folder etc. Seems to work ok, though I haven't had much time to check

Incidentally, the directory sounds files go in is "sound" not "sounds" and won't work properly if you use the latter.

Typo. Sorry.

My point was simply that my servers and fastdl are working fine using the previous directory structure, not the new custom folder.

I'm seeing the same questions(s) three or four times here. To clarify:

This will not affect custom files. They will end up at a different location on the client, but as far as the server cares, it doesn't matter. you can still use the same normal path to access them. (sound/blah/, models/blah/, etc.)

If they leave the addons directory mappings in the dedicated server, you can probably also on the server do /addons/<your addon or plugin name>/sound, models, whatever, and then still reference it in the plugin with the normal path (sound/blah/, models/blah/).

Again, the paths in plugins will not need to change as all of the various paths all get normalized into the same search path (addons/<whatever>/ on server, downloads/ on the client, the loose files/dirs already in tf/).
