precache_generic
I've got a map, that kicks with .wad error so i wrote that:
PHP Code:
I've found deathrun_siano2.wad folder in my cstrike_downloads folder, after i removed it, there was downloading but it stopped after 1 sec and folder is there again, but .wad file is not. What could be the problem? |
Re: precache_generic
The problem is with the map - it doesn't precache the WAD files.

I said that already. That's why I wrote this plugin. This is not map related topic, this is a scripting related topic. |
Re: precache_generic
if you want that the client download a .wad file then you need to add a .res file in the maps folder.
The .res file need the same name like the map (for example: de_dust2.res) and there you write your attachments like deathrun_siano2.wad. You dont need to write a plugin for that :) (That Link can also help you maybe: http://www.cstrike-planet.com/tutori...es-with-RESGen) |

I know that. .res file exists and all files are there, including .wad. |
Re: precache_generic
I think right now its a bug from the CS updates.

Re: precache_generic
You can use HLBox17b tool from http://www.17buddies.net/17b2/Tools.html to create .res files.

Re: precache_generic
No mate, this is my deathrun_siano2.res file
Code:
halflife.wad |
Re: precache_generic
Than, as bibu said, should be a beta bug.

Re: precache_generic
Allright then. Is there any other method you can think of to fix that?
