I make this boss for Alliedmods, enjoy it! Original model by made by Jug
Here is the Gangplank whit the correct .cfg by RavensBro. Because I fail whit the mats download.

Gangplank: The pirate

Abilities:

Super Jump: alt-fire, look up and stand up.
Weigh-down: in midair, look down and crouch
Rage (10000 meters stun + overlay image of pirate + pirate song): taunt when the Rage Meter is full.

Be careful or he will kill you whit his pirate sword, he is a red boss, he FEEL like a spy!!!

Make it took me hours because it's my first boss I did for my server.
I make it bz2 for fastdl.
ENJOY!!!

Next step is Cuddly Hoovy!!! "Im heavy weapons guy, and this.... IS MY LOVE!"

Torqus, its as simple as adding /addons/sourcemod/configs/freak_fortress_2/gangplank.cfg and the content in the materials , models, and sound folders ? Nothing else to configure or edit?? Just upload your gangplank to the server and the .bz2's to redirects and restart.... thats it??

I ask because I uploaded everything and connected to the server and expected to download the new content upon server connection and I did not download any of the new files, as if they were not in play

Shouldn't there be a config file in /addons/sourcemod/configs/freak_fortress_2 ? perhaps a gangplank.cfg and do we edit the characters.cfg

Guess I am a bit lost on how we add extra bosses

Yes.
You can edit the gangplank.cfg like you want, Its for you, but you can decompress the zip and restart the sv, gangplank will work whitout editing nothing.

If you want to add new bosses, you will open the characters.cfg and:

Ej:
"Freak Fortress 2"
{
"1" "seeman"
"2" "seeldier"
"3" "demopan"
"4" "vagineer_hale"
"5" "brutal_sniper_hale"
"6" "ninjaspy"
}

You will change to this:
"Freak Fortress 2"
{
"1" "seeman"
"2" "seeldier"
"3" "demopan"
"4" "vagineer_hale"
"5" "brutal_sniper_hale"
"6" "ninjaspy"
"7" "gangplank"
"8" "cuddly"
"9" "nameofboss"
"10" "nameofboss"

If your boss is: gangplank.cfg you will add "number" "gangplank"
The name of the boss is the same of the .cfg
