Use other models animation/skin

How can I use other models animation AND/OR skin?

I've seen using skin of other model on some model in use, but not sure if it is for animation?

What?

I don't think you can, simply because, unlike weapons, models are self contained with every part of themselves in one file. Weapons use v_ p_ and w_.

I'm pretty sure you can use other models skin on some other model then that.

I've seen examples. Skins from 1 model have been applied to another one even though he is completley different then the one with skins.
Well, maybe its done by metamod or smthing, dunno, but I think it was done via AMXX...

If its not possible, then maybe I dreamed this

( just kidding )

I'm pretty sure that would require model replacement via the server or client-side modification to draw a different skin over the model it is rendering.

Maybe they changed the .bsp some how ?

But what i think they just modified the original model, and the replaced it.

@ Zenith - if you know EVM, then you know they put new aura model with new skins. Well, when I replaced default ESF aura, the same aura with same skins which came with EVM stayed in their folder, there was a blue skin on aura model ( and the aura model DIDN't had blue skin in it )

If it's for ESF then it is quite possible they implemented some strange functionality to do this, but I still can't quite understand what you are describing.

Easy to explain ( I guess 0o )

1 model has skin I want.

I want to apply that skin on another model.
