PAWN OR C++
Hey,I am new to AMXX or PAWN,So my question is that,
If I learn C++,Will it help me in coding in PAWN language? Are C++ and PAWN same. If,I complete a course of c++ language,then,Will I be able to code plugins with or without help. How much do you know about c++. Please,Be fair and answers these if you know. Thanks, |

Re: PAWN OR C++
C++ and PAWN have a FEW similarities. But if you're new to programming and C++ is your first language....approach PAWN as though its a completely new thing.
The most you'll get out of it for pawn is development skill, logic, code structure, and scope. Just basic programming concepts. It'll confuse you in other things. If i may reccomend...it'd be easier to start with PAWN (being non-objective) or C (if you have access to it) the objects in C++ can get confusing and will make pawn irritating for a beginner. Just my personal opinion. But to each their own, and there's always a learning curve. I'm rather afluent in Java and C++ but i'm still scratching my head at how pawn works. |
Re: PAWN OR C++
Pawn is one of the "simpler" programming languages (dont kill me for saying that :)). So I recomment you to learn PAWN before C++, although C++ will of course help you understand many other languages like PAWN. PAWN has a simlar syntax to C(++). Its your choise.

You can go ahead and learn C++ but then you have to learn the differences between the two to be able to do it. Either way, nothing will guarantee that you can code plugins without help. |
