Random letters appearing in script when editing .sma

Hi all,

I have the following problem: When I try to open and edit .sma files that contain some sort of menu inside, some random letters appear infront of almost every word in the menu.
For example:
Code:

r1. yHelp
r2. wBack

With the result of having to edit it and remove it manually, but sometimes that's a problem if the menu is too big, plus that I don't yet know a lot of Pawn scripting..

*I have tried to open the .sma with amxx studio, notepad++, notepad, wordpad and word..
If anyone knows if I am doing something wrong please tell me :)

What game are you playing?

What does that have to do with anything?

Silly I forgot to mention, I am playing cs 1.6.

I actually don't know if it does have to do with anything, I assumed it may be problem of the text editor..

It should work fine in CS 1.6. However, I have seen some people post the same issue and they figured out how to fix it. I can't really remember what the solution was. Try searching for those posts.

I tried searching before posting but I wasn't able to find anything neither here either on google..

AFAIK, if you use the webcompiler, this bug happens. Try to compile it locally.

For the specific script, in which the problem appeared, yes, I used webcompiler but the problem appeared before compiling it, it appeared immediatly after I opened the file

That doesn't make sense. What do you mean by, it appeared after you opened the script?

Are you saying you edited the script, then compiled it and the letters appeared?

I mean: I downloaded a .sma and .amxx, I put them on my server and all worked fine, but either when I tried to open the .sma (to edit it) they appeared, either they exsisted before opening it but just the amxx didn't contain them, so I had to remove them before recompiling the .sma with my new edits, but I tragicly failed at removing them..
The reason I think they did not exsist before opening the file is because every .sma I have ever tried to open has failed in such way..
