What method should i use to save a lot of data.

Hi, i want to make a plugin to rank players skill for a mod called battlegrounds.
What i would like to know is what is the best way to store the info, should i use sql, vault, or vaultx, i don't know anything about sql, and i heard that vault is slow when a lot of data is stored, or is there something else i could use instead. i don't mind if it's farly slow at looking up or saving data, as long as it doesn't lag the server.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know much about Vault or VaultX but, generally speaking SQL products are built to handle a lot of data and do so well.

Okay thanks, i guess i had better learn how to use sql then lol

There's also nvault, if the data is simple enough. What do you need to store?

I need to store steam ids for all players that join and their names and an index and grade.

So basically 4 or maybe 5 pieces of information per player that joins the server.

Would there be a limit as to how many different names you store?

Well i guess there might be, the mod isn't really popular so i think at the most 2000 or 3000 names.

vault would work fine if you dont have access to a mysql server or anything...I've been using vault for credit mod for a while and it doesn't seem to lag at the moment  *knock on wood*
