[ZP 5.0][1.0.0] New Infection Method

How does the new infection method works?
Example #1
  • Modes: Only available on modes that are infectable.
  • Players: Player 1(Zombie), Player 2(Human)
  1. Player 1 attacks Player 2
  2. Instead of getting infected, he gets damaged
  3. When Player 2 is killed, he will be respawned(delay changeable by CVar) as a zombie at the same location he died.
Note: Last human will not be affected by this.

CVars
  • zp_infection_delay 5.0 - Delay before he respawned as zombie

Changelogs
  • 1.0.0 - Initial release

Does it work for my custom mode?
Answer #1:
As long as it has the allow infect flag for the mode, yes

Question #2:
Will ammo packs be given?
Answer #2:
Yes, it works the same way as Zombie Plague.

Why did you create this?
Answer #3:
Adding more realism I guess? 1 slash on you and *poof*. IMMA ZOMBIE? No shit. Also, if humans are camping together one guy dies and give some time to the rest of the human to escape instead of chain infection which end up ending the game early.

I think, he meant that this plugin works only in Normal Infection and Multi and when you kill zombie in this mode he wil respawn afther 4 seconds ( for example ) at the same place where he was killed...

Example is already given. And yes you get what I meant. I would say it's more realistic to have it this way. And it works on all mode if they had infection flag.

when you got infected then you must get the damage too like in real life

Yes. You get killed and respawned as zombie at the exact location you died. It's more realistic this way.

You just try it. Create a server with 2 bots. Let 1 bot be zombie and let it attack you. You will notice that you don't get infected but you get killed. Then you will be respawn at the same location as zombie(delay changeable by CVar)
