Possible "words" with spk?
Hello,
I just saw that "spk "get red(e80) ninety(s45) to check(e20) use bay(s18) mass(e42) cap(s50)"" results in the well-known "Get ready to choose a map". Well its clear that those words are cut somehow but the question I have is: Where can I see a list of all possible words, and what's the syntax to cut them like in the above example? What does the "e" and "s" mean? Edit: Seems like "e" cuts from the end and "s" cuts from the beginning. Can I cut from both sides and only choose a middle piece? |
Re: Possible "words" with spk?
These modifiers have been listed before. Search.

Yeah, I have seen about those modifiers (s, e, t, p, v are all?), however I still wonder about all available words - sound/sentences.txt doesn't define all it seems.

There's more if you look in the counter-strike.gcf and the half-life.gcf, but I preferred to just look in the sentences.txt found in the sound directory. I've provided it hear for convenience.

Yeah, but many words are just missing - where do I find stuff like "environment" or "computer" which also works, are they defined no where?
Do I just have to guess the words? Also, is it possible to combine modifiers like "e80" with "v50"? |
Re: Possible "words" with spk?
Just look in the half-life.gcf file in the fvx or vox folder, and if there is already a full word, that you can use it in spk like this, taken from another plugin:

spk "hgrunt/shit! man" doesn't work, but "hello man" does because hello and man are both in vox/. |
