[TUT] How to make p_, w_ models + other stuff Credits: Koshak - for his video tutorial how to change knife in v_knife model GAARA54 - this tutorial Cs 1.6 have 3 model's for weapon: v_ - view model (you see this model in your hands) p_ - player model (you see this model in other player hands) w_ - world model (you see this model on a ground when you drop weapon) How to make p_ and w_ model's for weapon when you have only v_ model ? It very easy look at an example of this v_ model: http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...1&d=1187471749 Put v_ak47 in any folder Open milkshape3d Go to: Tools -> Half-Life -> Decompile Normal HL MDL File Decompile our v_ak47 model Then go to: File -> Import -> Half-Life SMD What we see ? http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...1&d=1287436734 We see many animations and 3 reference: lhand.smd - left hand rhand.smd - right hand f_ak47_template.smd - (reference of ak-47) it what we need Import f_ak47_template.smd IMPORTANT: put tick only on TRIANGLES then put standart cs 1.6 w_ak47 model in any folder decompile: Tools -> Half-Life -> Decompile Normal HL MDL File and import w_ak47.smd (reference of w_ model ak-47) IMPORTANT: put tick on triangles and skeleton What we see ? http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...1&d=1287437117 we see 2 ak-47 (standart and our colored model) Use Select button to select colored ak-47: http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...1&d=1287437234 Then use 2 button: Rotate and Move apply exactly our colored ak-47 on standart ak-47 Then use Scale button to change the size of our colored ak-47 http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...1&d=1287437436 Change X Y Z size of model and press "Scale" What we see ? http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...1&d=1287437521 Our AK-47 is exactly like the standart AK-47 and is suitable in size, very good What do next ? You have plenty of weapons from CS or HL which don't look like the "normal" CS weapons, my question is how you do for them ? It should have another way to make such view with non-standard weapons.

well. I am testing to make my own p_ and w_ models, cause I have too many nice models without them. but I encountered a problem :shock:. this file: f_ak47_template.smd, can't be found when I decompiled a model converted from CS:S. or from cs condition zero like this one: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/71241. any ideas please ? :| |

finally I found time to convert models.

Don't worry, before creat server . Open console and type mp_consistency 0 and all p_ w_ work good. But all my friend don't get any consistency error when they use p_ w_ which created by them.. :D

@mazika: Yeah, when i play in a classic match game server, i never use any model ( only use default) bcoz it make me bother.. But when i play ZP, i use my favourite models in my own cs..
All v_ , w_ always work good, but p_ isn't sure. |

THE CHUCKY GRENADE !!! source: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/10655. as promise, I finished the w_model of the chucky grenade. the first models I made, crashed the local game. then I decided to make a real big doll, with a knife in its hand. it was very dificult for me to compile the doll and the knife together (I am a beginner!). but finally it's done. https://forums.alliedmods.net/attach...1&d=1290710904 to install the skins on a server we need: the Weapon Model Replacement. you have to choise between two world models: w_ChuckyGrenade_dk.mdl and w_ChuckyGrenade_bk.mdl (dry knife and bloody knife) remark: the "uncap" sound (pinpull.wav) was modified in the v_model. so, to install it correctly you need this plugin: very simple prechase mod. just install it, creat the precache.ini and inside, write this: Code:
sound/weapons/chucky_pinpull.wavneed to play in this map? ok: police_map credits: Skilly_Dan for the original model. Manhunt.CS for the bloody knife. REX for the remake |

Whenever I try to change hand models to a model, it tells me that hand size has to be same as the original. How do I get around this? I try to put default hands into models without default hands, But then some of them have only 1 hand texture.. |
