How to add text before items in new menus

I would like to do exactly what menu_addtext you provides with the slot set off but using it before adding any items.

As far as i know you cannot use menu_addtext or menu_addblank before menu_additem.

When you do menu_create(); use the title to add stuff.
Ex: menu_create("My Menu^n^nSome Text","_Handle");

Would show:
My Menu

Some Text
1. Item 1
2. Item 2

0. Exit

Yh as drak said.

^n = new line
sometimes you have to use ^n^n wich produces 2 new lines instead-

The title is not enough because of the too small size limit.

Increase the size of the array you are formatting.

Native doesn't seem to have any limits (checked code)
