Stopsound Prevention

I can't seem to hook "stopsound."

Is there another way to prevent it?

[Edit]
Or is there any other way to tell what the key they just pressed is bound to using prethink?

If it's client-side (which is seeming more and more to be the case) is this an unsolvable problem?

it is strictly client-side and allows you to stop all ambient sounds on your computer only.. there is absolutely no reason for this command to be sent to the server..

Twilight Suzuka 04-03-2005 19:53

The real question is, why would you wanna stop it?

ktrain 04-04-2005 07:48

this is used by some in Hostile Intent to gain an advantage, due to the realism factor, ambient sounds can impact this mod more then others i have played

and so it is looked on as an exploit, yet this is not apparently in the SDK for dev's to disable thru the client side dll

Twilight Suzuka 04-04-2005 10:06

Dont really see how its an exploit...

Stop asking him why he wants to do it and start telling him how.

xeroblood already said it's not possible with AMXx, so stop replying Suzuka.

SOMEONE is in a bitchy mood today ^^

xeroblood 04-04-2005 21:04

 And someone else is in a pessimistic/non-cooperative mood everyday!! :P

<just playin Mel, relax!! :D>

v3x 04-05-2005 16:08

Couldn't you just loop as task to a client command? :?

smdobay 04-05-2005 16:56

v3x... not sure I understand what you mean
