Multiple Servers

Could someone please tell me how fast internet connection you would need (download and upload please) to run 4 dedicated servers from one computer or two dedicated servers from two computers?
THX!

Bandwidth: Bandwidth is used a lot—more specifically, upload bandwidth. Here is a list of how fast your connection must be to run a certain number of players at lowest settings. (When talking about bandwidth for servers we always talk about upload, not download.) Note: these numbers are theoretical, your results may vary slightly!
Code:

Upload Speed (Kbps)      Player Limit
        240                6
        320                8
        400                10
        480                12
        560                14
        640                16
        720                18
        800                20
        880                22
        960                24
        1120                28
        1280                32
        1440                36
        1600                40

These values are calculated with the following formula: (5,000 * player number * 8) / 1,000

Re: Multiple Servers

So what rate you are using ?
rate 5000
or rate 25000

Re: Multiple Servers

I did this for Kanatzu, will ask him when he's back, he will have 24mb/sec broadband, but as we will run 4 servers, i guess we will have 14-16 slots each. Thx for quick answer mate!:D

Re: Multiple Servers

rate
- Max bytes/sec the host can receive data (B/s)

Let's say rate 25000 B/s...
Can be calculate directly (16 players*4 dedicate*25 KB/s)/1000 = 1.6 MB/s
1.6 MB/s

But if we want convert bit (b)
(25000 B/s*16 players*8)/1000
= 3200 Kbps

3200 Kbps*4 dedicated
= 12800 Kbps

Final = 12.80 Mbps ~ 1.60 MB/s
Do not confuse
Mega bit per second = bit (b)
Mega byte per second = byte (B)

...he will have 24mb/sec broadband
That is download ?
Upload more important than the download
Let's say it's 24MB/3.5MB.. not sure.Guessed.
Download = 24 MB/s ~192.00 Mbps
Upload = 3.5 MB/s ~ 28.00 Mbps

Re: Multiple Servers

Can anyone say that I calculate wrong? :D

Re: Multiple Servers

im writing from my mobile phone now. But, lets say

24 Mbps - Upload
80 Mbps - Download
Lowest server rates
4 dedicated
16 players each

Would that be possible on one pc.
If i get a simple answer on that one ima reward you somehow

Re: Multiple Servers

You could try first one pc ?
And look what happened :D

Try ask Lob (UK
I think he have more experience

Re: Multiple Servers

okay thanks dude.

But wild guess, would you say 24 Mbps would be enough for 64 players? On 4 servers.
Well, if your interested in our new community send me pm. We might need more developers xd

Re: Multiple Servers

(64 players*4 dedicate*25 KB/s)/1000 = 6.4 MB/s
Yes...

24 Mbps - Upload
80 Mbps - Download
You have 24 Mbps NOT MB/s

(25000 B/s*64 players*8)/1000
= 12800 Kbps

12800 Kbps*4 dedicated
= 51200 Kbps

51.20 Mbps

nope
