[L4D2] Always Lasers
 
Hey there , I know there's some laser plugins already but none of them work in a way that I'm looking for.

What I'm looking for in a laser plugin, when people pick up a weapon it automatically attaches a laser sight to the weapon, and thats basically it.

On my modded server lasers are really a must to be able to survive better.

Also I'm using the L4D2 weapons spawner, sure it can add laser sights to people's weapons, but it all has to be done manually, now if the creator had added a laser box spawn instead of with the gw command, that would have been much better, but I don't think that will be added at all in the near future.

If anyone could make this that would make me very happy.

yes i would like somethign similar and i guess the laser box spawn would be easier...

I want thirdperson laser fix,
since laser in thirdpersonshoulder not work

I do not think that thirdpersonshoulder would be able to do lasers correctly, a plugin fixing this would be rather iffy, thirdpersonshoulder really was not designed for players to be using much, if you notice if you change settings under c_thirdpersonshoulderXXX you can see through walls, ect, and flashlights do not appear in the proper place if settings are off.

In response to the request, would be a pretty simply plugin, just stripping the cheat flag from upgrade_add and have it give the clients the upgrade once they join, and then on mapchange ect. Or simply a plugin with a command to spawn a box of lasers, if you want clients to have a choice to receive the upgrade.

(Edit: I attempted writing up a quick plugin to do this, - Not sure yet how I can hook when a player switches their weapon, as in L4D2 when you switch guns you do not retain the upgrades it had)
(Edit 2: Was a bad way to go, because of how many ways a player can loose their laser or change their weapon - the best way to go about this would be a timer that checks if the client has a laser, and gives them one if they do not. Giving them one on a repeated timer would cause the upgrade sound to play each time, which would get annoying)
