[L4D2] Solo Run
 
Idea for a plugin:
  • No survivor bots/teammates
  • Just single player
  • No special infected spawn
  • Other tweaks
What do you think?

2. choose single player

Here's something you could put in a cfg... zombies are slower and have more health points, also there are more zombies than normal, special infected disabled.

Code:

sm_cvar z_background_limit 30                //default 20
sm_cvar z_common_limit 50                //default 30
sm_cvar z_health 1900                    //default 50 - common zombie health
sm_cvar z_infected_flashlight 1                //default 1 - allows zombies to see in the dark
sm_cvar z_speed 100                    //default 250

sm_cvar z_boomer_limit 0
sm_cvar z_charger_limit 0
sm_cvar z_hunter_limit 0
sm_cvar z_jockey_limit 0
sm_cvar z_smoker_limit 0
sm_cvar z_spitter_limit 0

Here's the cfg for normal settings:

use sm_cvar director_no_specials 1 to disable all special infected spawns.

Yes, if you're the server admin and you "kick [botname]" a bot... they go away for the whole game until you "sb_add [botname]".

Some friends of mine and I like to sometimes do solo runs so I'll slay them in the safe room so they can watch and I'll start up HLDJ with a good prorun tune and have at it...

Then it's the next person's turn and 3 slays a good song and have at it...

It's loads of fun.

I tried kicking the bots and it said something like "This player cannot be targeted".

shoot! I'm assuming you're the server admin correct?
If yes, then either try your rcon pass or sm_cvar.

If you're not the server admin then you'll have to run a local server to do it.

Yeah I'm doing it on a local server, I'll try rcon this time.

you know... just realized I've not tried to kick a bot in L4D2.
It may be broken...
I'll test it tomorrow and let you know if I succeed.
