MOTD and HTML
How would you go about formating a text file in html, and makign a motd load it?
The html would also include some images, if that makes any difference. Everytime i try to do it, its just the html code, but not what the html code suppsoe to be! |
Try writing the code to a file then displaying it with the motd command, or is that what you did?
|
Why not just make it .html?
|
are u typing it in notepad? Or like an html editor?
use notepad, if you type it in like frontpage or dreamweaver it will convert the <html> to the something different so it won't be interpreted as html |
here is an example of my cstrike/motd.txt that I use and includes pictures,
Code:
<html><head>Suzuki TL1000S |
its got to have the .html ending.
|
try what i posted as cstrike/motd.txt and then try it as cstrike/motd.html and see which one works.

mine is motd.txt, has HTML in it, links an image from a seperate server, and it works fine..
|
Also note that HTML code, like colored menus, only work in first-party mods (ie: CS and DoD). I haven't found any third-party mods that support these features.
