bullet decal
how can i remove the bullet decal and the effect when it hits the wall, or prevent the bullet from being fired( i need to return it back too :P ) ?

I don't know if you can remove a specific decal, but you can if you want remove all decals at once using decal_reset.sc event.

you didnt get me there a bit, i want to prevent the decal from being shown, or more specific, i want to remove the bullet event, but leave the weapon animation and action

Ok. Right now I've 2 ways in my head, either you try to hook TE_WORLDDECAL/TE_DECAL with register_message() and block them ( don't forget to check if it's the right decal index ) either you can block directly UTIL_DecalTrace() or UTIL_GunshotDecalTrace() calls but you would need Jaoquim's module ( Sigscan ) but it's not finished yet, he has to make the hooking stuff. In waiting, try the first.

ok ill probably try TE_DECAL, but im more interested if its possible to prevent the actual bullet from being fired, mby its possible with traceline?

My english is not prefect its hard to explain xD.
Ill try again :D I want that if you shoot, no bullet is sent(i know that there are now bullets, just effects). If you fire, the weapon model animation plays, and the shooting sound plays, but damage, sparks, ricochet sounds will not show up from the shot. i just want to find out is there a easy way to block this, otherwise ill try to block these msgs: TE_GUNSHOT 2 TE_SPARKS 9 TE_GUNSHOTDECAL 109 TE_ARMOR_RICOCHET 111 TE_MULTIGUNSHOT 126 |

Hook FM_TraceLine, filter, and block the trace. ( redirecting end post, or setting 1.0 as fraction etc.. just test ). There is also fews tutorials which explain FM_TraceLine etc.
