[L4D]Getting Hurt from Burning Zombies
Not the best name for this but, if there was a way to, like, when a zombie has caught fire and while they're just running around, if they were to touch a survivor, that survivor touched would lose some health as if he touched the actual source of the fire. Anyone think this is a good idea or possible?

Re: [L4D]Getting Hurt from Burning Zombies
There is no collision detection between Survivors and burning Zombies, no event either.
I'd say nope. |
Re: [L4D]Getting Hurt from Burning Zombies
What about SI? If you light the hunter, and the hunter pounces in but gets killed, and his burning body is on you. Or even if the hunter lights himself and just stands/scratches you? This can be replicated for each SI.

Re: [L4D]Getting Hurt from Burning Zombies
i think he is referring the fact common infected should not die instantly when touch the fire

Re: [L4D]Getting Hurt from Burning Zombies
not really but that would be a good idea i was thinking about that like they're running around on fire and can still hurt u but after a certain amount of time then they burn and die

Re: [L4D]Getting Hurt from Burning Zombies
Still highly unfair, seeing as you CANT STOP them tumbling into you, on fire. As for Burning Hunter extra damage, olj has made a Plugin for that.

Re: [L4D]Getting Hurt from Burning Zombies
If you will be surrounded by horde of burning zombies you will die in seconds then. Dont see any benefits in this. And too much problems with actual coding and performance, considering you need to know position of each zombie and survivors and if they are nearby and if they are burning do damage...duh

Re: [L4D]Getting Hurt from Burning Zombies
maybe changin the time they die, i mean they should die after1-3 seconds instead of being still alive too long to change the balance.
